It says its possible to add more than one iTunes library to Apple TV, but I don't seem to be able to do it?

So far my Pops has added his library and its working great, now trying to get my macbook upstairs to add to the library but theres no 'add another library' etc. Home sharing is turned on and I can't even search for my iTunes library.

Ah fair, I know Apple are really tight with the whole iTunes account etc etc.

Was hoping to get my movies on Apple TV instead of using just my Pops library. Not allowing multiple accounts is a bit poor.

you can still stream your library to the ATV, you just have to setup home sharing on your computer with his itunes account.

Hate to sound like a troll; but this is just another fine example of Apple locking things down and making it a neuisance for their customers.

The ATV does allow access to many multiple iTunes libraries. You need to set up Home Sharing on both computers and then turn on Home Sharing on the ATV. Home Sharing uses ONE email address to tie into multiple different itunes accounts but each person still has their own iTunes library and email address (apple ID) attached to their own computer.

The Home Sharing ID just functions somewhat like a "master" account to authorize all of the sharing on the network.

Aye we've figured out how to get it working, but my Pops has somehow got 5 computers authorised and he only uses iTunes on his macbook, mac mini, iphone and ipad (not sure it needs authorisation for iphone and ipad) but yeah does anyone know how to deauthorise a computer he no longer uses? A dead computer from your iTunes acount?

I did it recently and ended up deauthorizing all of my computers and starting all over. It worked well.

from my experience (if i remember correctly) once you try to authorize a 6th computer, it will let you know that you've already authorized 5 and it will ask you if you want to deauthorize everything else to authorize this new computer. what it basically does is start over. then, go back and authorize the other computers in the correct order (only those you want to be authorized up to 5). this completely gets rid of a dead computer that at one time was authorized.

edit: looks like someone beat me to it
