Anyone know how to add holidays to ical? I have tried looking on Apple's support pages and searching this site (althought the search function doesn't seem to be working for me) and I can't find anything.

I can't believe it's that difficult and I'm sure once I find out I'll kick myself for not thinking of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you can find them at Apple's site

Apple>software>iCal and then select "calendar library" which will bring you to a page with lots and lots of different calendars.....select the "U.S. Holidays", or whatever you want, and then iCal will boot up and you'll be presented with a screen giving you the option to subscribe to that calendar......and that will set you up

hmmm...looks like somebody bet me to a response!!!

Thanks everyone! I knew it would be something simple. You think that typing "adding holidays to ical" would turn up something useful on Apple's support site. Guess not.

My thanks too -- I had never bothered to look into this. They should integrate this more, if nothing else to help people have fun with the sports calendars and stuff. But it is kinda depressing how many sports calendars they have and the fact that they only have holiday calendars for Judaism, Islam and Christianity....

EDIT: Oooh, by the way, in defense of Apple, it *IS* in the iCal menus. If you click on Calendar->Find Shared Calendars, it goes directly to the iCal webpage where you can download these calendars. I just never bothered to click it. :p
