Hi there,

I‘m buying a lot of specialty tracks on third party portals, like Beatport. I can download the mp3 files on my iPad, using the File app from iPad OS. However, I could not figure a way to add those legitimate mp3’s to the Music app. I know I can put those files in a specific folder and play them back. However, I would like to use the Music library functionalities, which are very user friendly.

So, is there any way to add mp3’s purchased from a third party website to the Music app, using only my iPad Pro?

I don’t think that option exists. The music app feeds of iTunes and the iTunes Store and Apple Music only.

ericw, I believe you’re right. I’ve just added those songs in iTunes on my Windows laptop. I have cancelled my Apple Music subscription lately. In the past, when I had some Apple Music subscription, those mp3‘s would sync up all across my Apple devices. Not this time around. When adding a mp3 to my Windows laptop, without a valid Music subscription, that mp3 remains locally on the laptop but is not synced to other Apple devices.
