I bought a new alum 20" iMac back in January and it had only 1 gig of ram and I would like to add another 2 gigs in the empty slot. I checked the crucial website and this is the ram suggested:

Part #: CT715173 • DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64 • more details

Is this the correct ram for my 2.4 iMac? I am a new switcher to the Mac.
Thanks for a reply.

Thanks for the reply flopticalcube. That is a very informative site that you quoted and it helped my decision. Just wanted to make sure I get the right ram for my machine.
