Adding Scandnap ix500 scanner under Printers and Scanners?

Hi

New iMac 2017 27 inch with SSD. I have a Scansnap ix500 scanner. I can scan using VueScsn. However, try as I might, I can’t get the scanner listed under “Printers and Scanners” I am using High Sierra. Is anyone using High Sierra with this scanner and has been able to get the scanner added under Printers and Scanners?

No, we have to use scansnap manager on High Sierra (and previous OS versions). Put a document in the scanner, press the blue button, it feeds the paper through and scans the document, and a PDF shows up on the desktop.... pretty slick.
