I am having trouble finding if this is even possible because I get results of merging images.

I have several images I need to drop into a size specific psd and want to avoid repeating this 75 times. Is there automotive process in PS that gathers all the images and drops them into a PSD?

I just recently learned this technique, and it sounds almost what you are looking for.

Go to File>Scripts>Load Files Into Stacks and from there you can choose your multiple images

From there you'll have all of your images in different layers but you'll only see the top layer since all the blending modes are set to normal

I guess you can open a separate layer as your template prior to or after opening

Thank you that worked also found out that feature is in Bridge CS4 Tools>Photoshop>Load files into Layers

Just hate in software updates things getting moved around.
