Adding Transitions to iMovie for iPhone

I have searched on this forum and google too and can't find anything on adding transitions to a movie. All I can find is that "iMovie adds transitions automatically to your movie" on the Apple support site. I want to manage the length of the Title and the beginning and end of the movie and I see the Title is driven by the transitions....

Help me please...

I may have used the wrong term. I want to cut the video, add a transition (which I guess it already does) all to manage the title in the beginning and/or the ending. I hope that makes sense.

the only way to "cut" one clip is to import it twice and shorten accordingly.

I just fully covered the camera lens with something black (in my case some cloth) and took a photo

I was trying to figure this out today and this tutorial saved me. Thank you for sharing even if it was back in June!

Hopefully the next version will allow us to do easily what we're resorting to workarounds to do.
