Adding Two "old" monitors to a mini mac?

I might get the mini mac soon.

Currently using windoze xp with older style monitors, probably about 4 years old and have with multipin connectors. They do not have hdmi connectors.

I see that there are several adaptor cables available for the mini mac.

Would it be possible to get two of these older monitors working simultaneously? Or do I need to get "new" monitors?

Are they CRT's?

If you have something other than CRT's, they should have some sort of a DVI connection. If not, you can always get a serial to DVI connector.

Thunderbolt (TB) or Displayport (DP) to DVI adapters are available, along with cables that change from one to the other.

HDMI to DVI adapters are also available, and one comes included with the new MM.

Seems like you shouldn't have too many hurdles to make this happen.

Not sure if a CRT will be recognized by a MM, if that is indeed what you have.

At only four years old, I really doubt they are CRTs.

In any case, you are fine with two older monitors. You will need to get the appropriate adapters for your monitors. I am guessing you need either DVI or VGA adapters, but only you know what ports are on your monitors.

If by CRT you mean those real big ones that look and weigh like an old TV set, its NOT one of them. They both have flat screens and are real thin.

Yes, you can use those monitors with your Mac Mini.

You either have VGA or DVI.

The Mac Mini comes with an HDMI to DVI adapter (so you'll need a DVI to VGA adapter if you need VGA).

And you'll just need a mini-display to DVI adapter (or mini-display to VGA adapter if you need VGA).
