Which one should I use?

Which one is better right now?

I remember reading Adguard was going to focus on the free Adguard for right now. Though not sure if that is really the case.

AdGuard Pro had issues with Apple policies regarding VPN based ad blocking, so they seem to be focusing only on content blocker which is basically just AdGuard. The Pro version is not being updated until the issue is resolved. If you already have it then you can keep using it.

Good news is it is sill working. :)

Unfortunately it's a battery hog due to the use of a loopback "dummy" VPN. What we need is native integration of DNS-over-TLS in iOS. For such a privacy focused company(they say), Apple does not seen so happy with customers not liking being tracked by their ISPs/public hotspots. Google, the supposed profiling and ads devil already implemented it natively, go figure(called Privacy DNS in Android P).

I doubt it will last iOS 13. I can always PIA, which has a built in ad blocker if I have to. It is a shame as I really like the iOS version of Adguard Pro. I haven't experienced any battery hog issue with it.
