Adhesive removal from plastic...

I have an iMac G3 (Indigo) that must have had like clear shipping tape put on it to hold something down at some point. Well it was taken off, and the tape came off, but the sticky adhesive is still on the outside of the plastic iMac case. Does anyone know of a good thing to use to get it off?

I've tried goo-gone (kinda works), rubbing alcohol, and rubber rejuvenator (wiping that off with rubbing alcohol). Nothing seems to totally take it off.

Any ideas?

Eucalyptus oil? Test it on a part of the machine that can't be seen first though because sometimes it burns through plastic a little bit.

I usually can rub it off with my thumb.

When I go to my cardiologist, I get some special adhesive removing wipes. They smell like oranges and are über greasy. Maybe go to a medical supply store and pick up summa those?

This is a new (used) computer. Its a great computer except for the sticky adhesive on it. Runs Tiger like a charm!

Windex sometimes works to get sticky residue off of things. However, I don't know if it'll react to the plastic. Like mentioned above, test it on an inconspicuous spot.

WD-40 works like a charm! Then wash the residue from the WD-40 off with rubbing alcohol.
