After trying out Hiss to bring Growl apps to Notification center, I was a bit disappointed because clicking on the popup notification doesn't take you to the app (because it's really a notification for GrowlHelperApp.)

Happily, however, somebody made a special build of Adium with notification center support. It seems to work fine, so hopefully it'll be officially baked into Adium soon. You can get it here.

I thought notification center support was for Mac App store apps only? How did they accomplish this? (or how does Apple prevent any app from using it?)

chrome isn't in the app store but it has notification support. So maybe being in the MAS isn't a requirement.

Where do I configure the notifications in that build of Adium? I can't see it under Events.
