Adjusting Parallels gamma for PC games?

Anyone run into this problem? On my new 2011 MBP I've been running an older game in Parallels, the original Everquest. It runs fast enough but the gamma is WAY too dark. The gamma slider in game doesnt have any effect, and Parallels doesn't seem to allow gamma adjustments in the system tools area of Windows 7. Just changing the MBP brightness does not help at all, the too dark areas in game just get washed out.

Any help making this work would be great.
