What version of Adobe Acrobat can we use and is there a specific way we need to download the software from the internet? I downloaded once but would not open....help educate me how I should be appropriately setting up the download to process correctly.

Downloading and installing Acrobat is the single worst install process of any app on OS X. Shame on them. You need to for some reason download and install their 'application installer', and then from there download and install acrobat. The whole process is extremely annoying. Feel free to send them some negative feedback on this.

Edit: for most people it's fairly unnecessary anyway... Preview is much faster at opening and viewing PDFs.

Why would you want to use Acrobat? Are you familiar with Preview's ability to open PDF's much faster and more efficiently?

I want to kill whoever made the Safari Acrobat plug-in. I got my university to stop using it in favor of Preview.

Still the standalone Reader isn't that much worse then Preview. I only use it to sign things in PDF.
