I have been sent a document that has to be opened in Adobe Acrobat but my Mac won't open it , How do I use it in iPhone with the app please or has anyone any suggestions how I can open it in Mac OS Catalina?

That doesn't sound right. The Preview app that's part of MacOS will open PDFs just fine. Are you sure that PDF is actually a PDF? Did you get it from a reputable source?

If preview wont open the document try making sure it has a .pdf extension?

Also you can download acrobat reader HERE and try that as an alternative to Preview (although preview ussually will open most PDF's)
