Hello,

I’ve noticed that control panels change positions when switching back and forth between apps on the Mac Studio running OS Ventura 13.1.

For instance, when working in InDesign, I have the panels set up where I want them, and as long as I’m in InDesign, they stay in place. (screenshot 1)

However, when I switch to any other app, then come back to InDesign, the panels have changed position. This happened with Ps, and Ai as well. (screenshot 2)

Doesn’t anyone know how to stop this?

Thanks!

Michael

I never run into this problem, but then I use the "Application Frame" (in the menubar, Window>Application Frame) setting to keep all panels contained in the InDesign user space.

If you're not aware, using Application Frame allows you to "dock" your panels where you want them on the left and/or right. Once you have them where you want, just save the Workspace.

I see this bug too. It’s not remembering panel positions sometimes. The Path panel disappears and I have to reset the views from my saved config.

I've seen this on Finder Windows for awhile now, a couple OS versions. Seems random to me.

Update - I just noticed it happening not he desktop icons as well and saw several posts from July about the same thing. This is really annoying. Come on Apple, do better.
