Adobe Creative Suite

How much do we know about these so called Creative Suites? I'm assuming that they provide the same capability for saving back to a previous (numerated) version of the software, is this the case? Excuse me if I'm a little skeptical about rushing out and buying a (new) bundle of software that has been repackaged and given a pretty little makeover but doesn't seem to have enough new additions to warrant such a price. Am I wrong? A wise man once said "Trust no 1"-Any help on the new options of the aforementioned software is appreciated.

Illustrator cs lets you save back to Illustrator 10,9, and 3.

InDesign cs will let you save in InDesign exchange format which will open in InDesign 2 with the scripting and xml plugins installed.

Photoshop cs still saves in psd format but if you use new features... text on path and photo filter adjustment layers... they may not work in previous versions.

ive justed been through an adobe presentation

covering all the apps.

my opinion is that there are alot of new features in each application. but that doesnt mean that these features are needed for most people.. adobe is a software company that 1. wants to keep making money. and 2. wants to make industry leading software

so in order to keep there books in order they will release a new version here and there with new features that we never new we needed or wanted. just so we will upgrade and they will get our money.. that how it works.

photoshop 7 is great... if it works well for you.... great.. dont upgrade. if you want some of the new features. then upgrade.

photoshop cs is quite a bit slower then ps7. which always seems to be the trend with new software. (except panther that is)

there not forcing you to upgrade.. just trying to entice you too..
