I keep getting a pop-up (I hate pop-ups) from Adobe Flash player telling me an update is available. No matter what I do, it shows up again in a few days. I have tried installing it (I press the "download" button) and nothing happens! The box disappears and that's it. I have tried going directly to Adobe's website and re-installing the player from scratch and a few days later there it is again.... Arrggghhh.

Is there any way to make this app behave??

Thanks

Have you checked the Adobe updater is up to date itself? I have had issues with updaters not functioning properly and doing odd things like this. Or try changing settings to check for updates manually - not ideal though, especially with Flash.

Flash player update worked for me yesterday. Is the .DMG file in your download folder? If so double click on that to start update

While I'm not an avid fan of Chrome, my suggestion is to completely remove Flash and use Chrome for any flash-related websites (since Flash is included with the browser). I have my setup like this and haven't looked back. I disliked having Flash on my Mac.
