Adobe flash update impossible

I've tried updating the Adobe Flash multiple times without success. Keeps posting error. Any suggestions?
My computer is Mac Pro, running updated 10.8

Try downloading it again.. restarting and installing.

Run the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller (make sure you exit all browser before running the deinstaller).

Then try the Flash Player installer again and see if it works.

I did uninstall the flash player and tried reinstalling it more than a dozen times with no success. I even called Apple and went over the issue with them for many than 45 minutes and again, no success.
Adobe does not offer support with software that is free. That is a direct quote from them.
