Adobe Illustrator Resize Question...

I have a project where I created a 11" x 17" poster (below). Now I want to turn that into a 4.25" x 6" postcard. What is the best way to do this without having to create my design from scratch?

BTW, I have at least 10 layers, all with lines, colors, etc.

if the proportions are correct, apple+A then shfit+drag from any corner.

looks like it won't scale cleanly.

you choice is to scale against the vertical length and then adjust everything horizontal.

or scale against the horizontal length, then adjust everything to fit vertically.

it doesn't look like it should be too hard - in fact, make it a little easier and pull the black border before you scale and add it to the smaller version at the end..

One thing I noticed, line stroke sizes don't change when you resize. Is there a way around this or am I going to have to change them manually?

You can go back to the original size. Go to Illustrator > Preferences > General > and check Scale Strokes & Effects.
