So apparently Adobe's Creative Cloud Desktop App that handles authorization and installation of all of Adobe's products is not Apple Silicon M1 ready yet. That said, how does someone on a M1 Mac install say Photoshop that doesn't want to use or have any Rosetta 2 apps on their machine? It is impossible to just download Photoshop without it installing Adobe's Creative Cloud Desktop App at the same time. Adobe has updated a couple of their apps to be M1 optimized, but not their main app that handles all their products?! Strange...

Since the Adobe apps require CC, I don't see a way around that. Is there some problem you are facing that makes Rosetta2 unavailable to you? If all of your other apps are M!-ready, having an Intel app using rosetta should not impact them. This is a transition period and we will be in both worlds for a while.

No, it's not a transition period. This is called "Adobe stop being lazy and pathetic!". The ARM Developer Transition Kit was available for all developers about a year ago. And as always Adobe is late. They're never ready on time, never.

Anybody think Adobe will release an updated Photoshop Elements? I've been using a non-CC version on my 2020 MBA and I'd like to install it on my new M1 iMac. Alas, there is no version for the M1 iMac.

edit: Never mind. They did release it, it's just not part of the Creative Cloud as there is no subscription. One-time purchase.

They hide it pretty well, but a one-time purchase is still possible with some apps.

I tried using the installer I saved from my MBA but it gronked at me and said 'no soap.' I was able to use my activation keys for Photoshop Elements and Acrobat Pro to install them on my new iMac.

Are those the only two apps they offer one-time purchase for ?
