Here is my dilemma.

Our church has dove into the world of 4k video editing and as the primary video editor, I'm a little worried my iMac isn't going to be able to keep up (late 2013, 3.2 GHZ, 24 GB, 240 external SSD boot).

I know the new iMacs are coming out probably in the 1Q of 2017, but I saw this on Adorama.

Late 2015, 3.3 GHZ, 32 GB ram, 256 SSD internal for only $1899. More than $600 off.

I want to pull the trigger, but don't know if I'm really getting that big of a processor upgrade and if an i5 will be okay for 4k.

Mid '15 equivalent to 2014 hardware. Undoubtedly a good deal though.

Adorama, B&H, and Powermax are really the best places to buy your Mac.

No sales tax so your total comes out to about what the refurb version of your model would cost, but you have the added bonus of getting it new.

That's a nice deal, but it is on the older chipset. You have lots of ram, and a 256GB SSD. I'm not sure how good the GPU is, but its not a bad price imo
