Sorry this is a rant and discussion about the state of the internet and what has become of it due to ads. I tried, I really tried, not to use any adblock software. It is just a hassle when I have so many computers to use. But this is just getting ridiculous.

The other day, a tech news site I visit often had an ad on the page that redirected you to porn site. A different site I visit tried to download malware through an ad.

The funny thing is, I do NOT browse the internet anymore. I just have 4 sites I visit regularly. They are well known sites too, not "Joe's Blog" or something like that. I would rather pay to be a member of sites than have to deal with malicious ads.

Also, some sites are using videos for ads now, and sometimes they automatically start playing audio. And sometimes it is VERY VERY VERY loud!

Does anybody else feel like ads are getting out of control?

No ads here either. I also block ads on my iPhone/iPad in apps and in my bowser. Soon I will be doing the same on my Android devices.

My ultimate goal is to never see an ad again.
