iPhone Advice from ih8sn0w: save your 7.x.x SHSH

Thanx for the heads up, its been awhile
Was able to get both current ios 7.1.2 and ios 8 for our two ipad 3s
What is the size of these that people getting?
3.13 kb whereas ios 6 they are 19.7 kb
 
I know w redsnow you can downgrade iPad 2 to 4.X or 5.X as long as you have blobs for them even if you are on iOS 8
 
Eh, I think there's a greater chance of a pangu iOS 8 JB then there is iOS 7 downgrade.
 
maybe or maybe not, remember the few tools that were used to bypass the icloud lock & activation. Apple made a change on their end, doing so could have also changed other things. don't know, but it never hurts to have them blobs
 
Can you reinstall 7.1.2 over 7.1.2 on an iPad 3rd Gen CDMA if you have the 7.1.2 SHSH saved locally? No upgrading or downgrading, just moving back and forth with a Pangu JB perhaps.
 
If Apple is no longer signing 7.1.2 then NO, at this time them shsh hashes/blobs are of no help.
I have not checked if Apple is or is not still signing them

On the bright side musclenerd and other dev have been able to downgrade the ios with the newer devices such as the ip5. At some point they may release a few tools

If you already used TinyUmbrella, set it check/pull from apple NOT cydia as see if apple is still signing, if they are do it fast NOW
 
I got em. I guess they are of no use after the signing windows closed until someone release a new tool/process.
 
I think you are missing my point, if you already used TinyUmbrella once.
It stored your ipad info, Therefore you do not even need to plug the usb cable into the ipad to CHECK if apple is still signing 7.1.2 right now. Just set TinyUmbrella to pull from apple, if it does AGAIN, then you know apple is still signing.
If they are and you need to reinstall ios 7.1.2 then do it now
Again, I have not checked myself yet to see if apple is or is not still signing them


EDIT:
I just checked using iFaith and I was STILL able to pull both 7.1.2bGM (11D257) and 8.0bGM (12A365) hashes from Apple directly for one of our ipad 3's

I've got the hashes as well. Just trying to determine if they will be useless once the signing window closes.
 
At this point yes they are useless unless you are one of the DEVs that CAN use them, as they have found a way to do so. Will they release a tool? nobody knows, i'd rather have them sitting around doing nothing as a JUST IN CASE.
Its better to have them and not need vs not having them and need
