I searched the activation thread and didnt seem to see this question addressed...but it was 62 pgs so I might have missed it!

1. I am a current At&t customer on a family talk plan. I am planning on purchasing an iphone tonight. Will I sign a new contract, extend my current contract 2 years, or will everything just continue as normal just with a different phone?

2. Other than the $400 for the phone will I have any other additional costs? I think the apple care plan is $69 but I plan on just waiting closer til the year is up to purchase...

I'm 99% sure you will have to sign a new contract. You probably will have to pay an activation fee (around $35 I think).

Did it last night and now its working like a champ!
