I'm in the market for a new Digitial Camera. It'll be for personal use, I'm not really looking for anything professional, just nice and sleek. Any1 have any ideas? From past purchases? I dont really want to pay for anything over $260, so any advice would be appreciated. These are some of the things I want to keep in mind:

-At least 3.0 MP's.
-Small, not too bulky
-Have a rechargeble battery installed (Do these exist?)

Thanks in advance!

I've had an Olympus µ digital 600 aka stylus 600 in the US since Christmas, and are very happy with that (and usually recommend that in these threads ;)). Small, but not too small and still has a very large LCD, takes good pictures in most conditions, fairly cheap and quite stylish. Fantastic battery life! I actually didn't have to charge the battery for 3 months.

I like this look, but how much was it?

P.S. I cant seem to find here in the U.S. (amazon, ebay, etc)....

Amazon has it for just under $200... remember it's called stylus 600 in US, not µ digital 600... ;)

You could probably get a better deal somewhere else. I got it bundled along with an extra battery and a 256 MB xD card.

My girlfriend bought the exact same camera just a couple of months ago. She was really after a Sony Cybershot, but after seeing and trying my camera she went out and bought the same model. Only difference is that I have the blue one and she got the red one.

Thanks alot for the advice. I'm realllllllllllly leaning into buying it. Wish I had an option though to pick a color, as I guess here in the U.S they only have it in silver. I was reading some reviews, and I see many people complaining that it does'nt have a " View finder"...I'm kinda confused on what this is...any1 know?

It has no optical viewfinder, instead you have to use the LCD. The viewfinder was the old way of taking photos way back in the day, before we had LCD's.

This isn't really a bad thing, considering you don't know what it is. Plus, Most people don't use them anyway because on most compact cameras it is so small you might as well gouge your eyes out because even then you will see more than you can with the viewfinder.

Ohhhhhhhh...that little hole we used to look into.. Yeah screw that...The lcd should be just fine. I figured the viewfinder was like an option for looking at the pics you just toook.. Thanks again :)
