Advice Needed - Personal Phone and Work Phone

Hi Folks

Today I received a new iPhone 6 for work (previously blackberry for work).
I have a personal iPhone 6 that I need to keep as well (don't know how long I will be in this position, need to keep personal phone number for small businesses I run) but don't need to bring both phones with me at all times.

My issue is: Can I install WhatsApp on my work phone to receive text messages from my personal phone?

I have the same apple id for both phones so I receive imessages, email, etc.

Can someone confirm this or offer an alternative?

If you have the same apple ID on both you can setup text message forwarding on your work phone to your personal one. Just like you would if you were setting it up on an iPad to get texts from your iphone etc.
