Hi folks, Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I'm looking to buy a webcam, particularly for use with Skype. I see at the moment the Isight camera is no longer available to buy in the UK, so looking for suggestions and advice.

macam
macam is a driver for USB webcams on Mac OS X. It allows hundreds of USB webcams to be used by many Mac OS X video-aware applications. The aim is to support as many webcams as possible.
Go here: http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/
and find a camera that you can get locally.
Plug the USB camera into a slot that has enough power, usually on the computer itself rather than a hub.
