Advice on AppleCare for Macbook Air

I plan on purchasing a MacBook Air 13-Inch. This will be my first MacBook and could use some advice. Is it worth purchasing the AppleCare Protection Plan? I learned Best Buy has a plan that is slightly different (and more expensive). Is the Best Buy plan better and worth the extra money? Or are both just a waste of money?
