Need some suggestions on the best way to use iCloud. Right now our family has two iPads and after tomorrow will have two iPhones. One each for me and one each for my wife. Right now I have iCloud set up to the same apple Id as our iTunes on all devices. All backups are going to that id and I paid for extra storage. We have individual apple Ids for FaceTime, messaging etc.

My issue is I don't want all of my wifes contacts/ calendars etc pushed to my devices but I do want the wireless iTunes feature and common cloud storage of our music collection.

Any advice?

AFAIK it isn't possible. You'll each have to get your own Apple ID and download music, apps, movies to each Apple ID.

I'm trying to figure this out too. We have 1 MBP, 1 iPad2, wife has an IP4 and I will have an IP4s tomorrow. We share the MBP and iPad. We have a shared iTunes account and we both will our have our own @me.com account for iCloud. What I've done is combined our contact lists on the MBP and created two groups. One is her contacts and one is my contacts. All contacts will be on both phones, but we can choose to just open our contact list vs. ALL contacts.

Still trying to figure it out, but I think two contact groups will work best.

Don't want to do that. I want to keep a single account for itunes puchases. I'll just let google continue to sync and manage my calendars and contacts and turn those options off in iCloud.

You and your wife can use the same iCloud ID for all iTunes related stuff.. and separate iClouds IDs for contacts, calendars, email, find my iPhone etc.

iOS 5 on the iPhone and iPad allow for this.

Can you point me in a direction as to how? Each mobile device appears to only allow for one apple ID and doesn't let me separate the individual apps ie contacts and calendars. I have a MBP as well.

Thank you.
