I have read and noted, the 'given' opinion on adding 'apps' that mess with the mac operating system.
Prior to reading the "Rumors" opinion, I installed 'CleanMyMac' from the software house.
Question: Is it sensible to keep or uninstall? It has a well presented Home page, however, might
this just be a good graphic presentation with no effect on my Mac Sequoia o/s, or...........

So what apps have you downloaded that you think are messing with the OS, and think you need a cleaning app for?

Thank you for responding pakaku

Hardware Mac Mini M4 with 24GB of RAM
Software Sequoia 15.2 Beta (24C5089c)

I have no evidence of the software listed below causing problems with my o/s.

1. 'CleanMyMac' (the MacPaw software house version), appears to identify
a quantity of what it calls Junk. These are said to be redundant files:
the major category being 'System Logs' at 1.9GB on my Mac.

2.Rocky Sands Studio's RAM status app. This is said to free up redundant RAM content.
Again is this a waste of effort, or does it serve a useful purpose?

If this type of cleansing is necessary and productive, fine, but I have read comments
suggesting that this type of procedure/App is unnecessary and perhaps harmful.

Kind regards
