Advice on RAM for my Power Mac G5 1.8GHz

I haven't bought ram since the old PC100/133 days so I'm relearning lots of things. Looking to pick up 2GB(2x1MB) upgrade kit for my Powermac G5. I've read on the forums people are recommending Crutial, Corsair, OSZ, and Wintec.

Also looking to spend around $150 if I can. Looking on Newegg today I found this from Corsair and was wondering if it was any good for a G5. And if not, any recommendations.

Don't put Corsair Value Select or OCZ or Kingston ValueRAM in a Mac. Most of their models are not Mac compatible (there are isolated instances on specific Macs where they can work, but its not worth the risk). NewEgg is a poor choice because they do not guarantee compatibility, and they have a 15% restocking fee policy if you order the wrong RAM and have to return it for refund.

Choose a reputable dealer who tests and guarantees Mac compatibility, offers a lifetime warranty, and a no-cost return if it doesn't work. Crucial is fine, if pricey. OWC (MacSales) is a favorite os some MR members. Data Memory Systems has a compatibility guaranteed 2 Gb pair for US$172.

I've got that same Corsair select Value RAM in my iMac G5 (2x 512mb) and they work beautifully....looks like a good deal to, better than you would get from crucial...Besides Corsair is better RAM, snap it up...

Check out the CHIPMERCHANT.com
they have great mid-level prices... plus you will know exactly what type of RAM you should get for your machine. Macsales.com is also a good choice. As is CDW. (macwarehouse.com)
if anything find out exactly what type you need for your G5 through Chipmerchant.com then you can buy elsewhere.

DONT BUY THE CHEAPEST RAM for your mac. In my experience you always pay for what you get. ive had many friends go the cheap route and pay the price within a year or less. Stay away from the CHEAP SIDE.
