The "e" key on my keyboard is getting really squeaky and driving me insane. I want to pop it off and lubricate it. Do you just pull straight up and it comes off? Someone in another thread suggested going to ifixit or some site like that, but I couldn't find a how-to on any of the MB or PB related sections.

Also, does anyone have experience on the long term effects of using the heavier MBP power adapter in a horizontal power outlet? Through a good part of the day I have access to only horizontal outlets, and I'm wondering if this might cause the prongs to break or bend w/ time since the adapter is pretty heavy.

which laptop do you have?

for key, you can try lubricating it; but if it's a new MB, shouldn't get that squeak. i'd try it myself, and in case something breaks, you can contact Apple Care.

if it's older PB, the keys pop off easily; but be careful when popping off, cuz the plastic parts to hold the keys can be thin and flimsy.

for horizontal outlets, use the extension cord that came with your adapter. if not, just buy a power strip or real extension cable.
