I have lots of exercise videos that I would like to organise in iTunes rather than use the Finder as I currently do.

I had a look at the tagging options in iTunes and think tagging as "TV show" is the best option as the videos are produced by the same "source". One thing I'm unsure of is how to handle exercise instructions. For instance, a video will cover 4 exercises and the sets, reps, interval times etc that should be completed for those exercises. There are several fields: comments, video description and lyrics that can handle multiple lines of text, but I don't know which is suitable for the video instructions.

For those of you who have done a lot of tagging in iTunes, what would you recommend?

Thanks

I'd include them in the "description" field, only because on the ATV that is what is displayed when scrolling films or tv shows....you can then preview the words before you start your routine!

Here we go, just signed up to the forum and my first post. I use two different apps for tagging of media, MetaX and Subler.

MetaX is a great app that allows you to tag multiple files in one go, giving you access to all the common tags that you would find on any music, TV show or movie file. Its available from, http://www.kerstetter.net/index.php/projects/software/metax

Subler is another tagging app, this however only works on one file at a time, but it does allow you to edit more tags, such as specifying if a movie is HD. This is available from, http://code.google.com/p/subler/downloads/list

Hope that helps.

I've tagged mine as Podcasts since I don't use them otherwise. I don't want to see the exercise videos when I scroll through TV shows or Movies.

Yeah, might be better to tag as Podcasts. Do you add instructions and if so are you using the description field?
