Don't step into the kawoosh...
I have been wanting to get a nice HD LCD TV to put into my apartment when i go back to college and i think i might have found it. Just wish it was a little later so that i could save up some more of my money.

Anyway, here is a link to the one i am talking about. I realize it is from HP (not a very well none brand for tv). I have done some quick researchign and from what i could fine HP uses sharp panels. This will probably be hooked up to WOW digital HD cable. Hopefully a mac mini at some point also.

I know h0e0h is the resident TV expert here on mac rumors so if you read this please let me know what you think of this display.

I really like the dell ones i think they are sweet. I have the dell 19" lcd tv and no complaints here. Looks really cool too.

for that price range have you checked the viewsonic 32" or 27" HD LCD? i know the 32" comes with HDMI and they both look pretty cool. newegg.com has them for about what that is.. anyways just another thought, i haven't checked into them too much, as i have my heart set on a 42" plasma from panasonic...

if you're gonna go HP, look into westinghouse from BestBuy too... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...CategoryId=pcmcat31800050024&id=1134703181778

for 1500 you can get a 37" 1080p (1920x1080 res), or this 32" for like $900. Best Buy generally has a bit better financing option too... hope this helps... If it were up to me, I'd go with something from Westinghouse rather than HP, that's just my opinion though, and if you can spring it, go for the 1080p 37"

1500 is about twice the amount i wanted to spend. I would say the absolute most i can go is $900 which includes shipping and that kinda stuff if i buy it online. I will look at the westinghouse, thanks for the pointer.

From looking on the bestbuy website did you mean the 27in for the $900 price tag?? The 32in was $1,100.

Thanks

i got a 26" lcd hdtv for 400$. It is an off brand but it is flawless and everything looks great on it.

when you add to cart you get the actual "sale" price... add it to your cart, the 32" and you get it for 899

Yeah, wow i am blind. It specifically says right there about the sale price when added to the cart.

Thanks for pointing out that out though.
