Looking to purchase a MacBook Air, 13" model. Its gonna be a secondary machine as I have a 5K iMac for all the grunt work. Two options I'm looking at are as follows;

From Apple Refurb Store:
March 2015 Model
i5 1.6GHz
4GB RAM
256GB SSD
Intel HD Graphics 6000

£850

From Hoxton Macs (Refurb Store):
Mid 2013 Model
i7 1.7GHz
8GB RAM
256GB SSD (512GB option available for extra £100)
Intel HD Graphics 5000

£780 (£880 for 512GB SSD)

Looking more at what they are capable of. Also looking at a retina MacBook which is about the same price, but preferring an Air currently.

Any advice on any of the three gratefully received.

2015 only time I'd recommend a refurb is through Apple!
Yep... agreed. For the small price difference you get a newer model with a full factory warranty form Apple.

From your description, your needs are not great so I don't think the i7 or extra memory on the 2013 would make a difference for you.
