Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy a refurbished MacBook Air and I would need some advice. I have read quite a bit about what to look out for but I don't know what to think about the age of the model.
I'm eyeing a model that I think is great (tell me otherwise!), it has Intel DualCore i7 1.7 GHz - Turbo Boost 3.3 GHz, SSD storage 512GB, 8 GB RAM. But it's from early 2014- should that be a deal breaker or is it okay to get a model that is already five years old?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

Should be fine, I am running a 2015 13" MacBook Pro and its plenty zippy for me. 256GB SSD, 8MB RAM.

The only thing that would concern me is the number of battery cycles. If the refurbished device is coming from the Apple Refurbished website then the battery cycle count is of no concern. I bought a MacBook Pro from the Apple Refurbished website and I couldn't even tell it was a refurb.

ah, that's a good point, I totally forgot about that! You should check and see how many cycles it has on it.
Mine only had like 145 or so, so not too bad.
