I found this out after talking to a genius:

If you do buy a mac, be sure to take advatage of the free iPod, AND, the $100 off a printer. The folks at apple told me to just send the original Laptop UPC with the iPod rebate, and make a copy and send it for the printer rebate. Just make sure u write on the copied UPC (for the printer) that the original UPC was sent with the iPod rebate.

So thats up to 279$ in rebates. :p

Yep, I just converted my friend that's off to college to start using macs. This past Saturday he purchased a Macbook, 2gb Nano, and printer with student discount! He's loving how easy it was to switch over.

For those wondering about the rebates since they all require the UPC codes from the boxes. They said to just write down on the printer rebate, that the UPC from the computer was sent in for the Nano rebate, and just include a copy of the UPC.

That certainly is a deal. Wonder if they will extend this offer so that once the MacPros come out, students can take advantage of the deal?

yep i took advantage of the double promo! I sent in the UPC for my ipod rebate and made a photocopy using my new printer and sent in the copy with a note for the printer rebate saying the UPC went to the ipod rebate... let's hope the money comes haha... but I think there's a chance they could revive the printer deal (which ends today)

well the nano deal doesn't end until september 16, so the Mac Pros should be here in time for that..but overall, I don't think many college kids are going to be out buying Mac Pros, so that's not the computer Apple is going to target with rebates that appeal to uni kids..
