Hello Guys

im planing to travel to USA (Miami) and planning to purchase latest iPhone with 128GB.

1-I wonder if there is way to purchase an iPhone without Tax. (macmall doesnt sell iphones :( )

2- most importantly do you buy Apple care + ?? I wonder if iphones battery dropes 80% or more in 2 years to be able to replace it using apple care+. conditions -> "for batteries that retain less than 80 percent of their original capacity."
Does anybody have experience with that?

A Google search suggests sales tax in Miami is at least 7%. If purchasing new from a store you're going to have to pay sales tax.

As far as AppleCare+ I personally don't buy it because I can't see the value of it. For instance AppleCare+ is $129 for 6S/6S plus $99 for each incident, up to two incidents.

A battery replacement is $79 plus shipping. And a screen replacement is $149 (6S plus) or $129 (6S).

Out of warranty replacement is $329 (6S plus) or $299 (6S) so this is the only scenario in which AppleCare+ would save you money. But I would guess the most common issue with iPhones are broken screens and you could pay for 2 broken screens for cheaper than AppleCare+.

It's cheaper to buy in the UK,

You are looking at $909 which is £650 based on todays Thomascooks rate, where as you can get them from Amazon and alike for £625 today.

Your closest no sales tax state is going to be New Hampshire (obviously not feasible for you). Your only other option is to have someone with a reseller license buy for you (again, not feasible).

As far as Apple care plus, there are different still actions and different ways Apple handles Apple care bought out of country (I am assuming you plan to go back to wherever it is you reside). I've read people stating they had to ship phones (at apples expense) because the local Apple Store wasn't able to work with that Apple care.

If you're worried about a battery, the USD battery replacement is cheaper than the Apple Care itself. I have no idea what it costs where you are from, but I imagine it's similar.

thanks for your reply.
I do have iphone 5 with 64GB I wanted to have battery replaced, but reseller wanted to charge me 165 Euros.
so I purchased new battery for 16 euro on Amazon and done it myself.

I'm planning to buy Iphone 7 with 128GB and that would save me aprox 150 euros (in comparison iphone 6 128GB) + I wanted to try Apple Trade-IN that would be beneficent even more.
[doublepost=1455911547][/doublepost]Im not sure if it is cheaper, you have wrong plugs, and 1 year warranty?
-Most likely you will leave EU, and that will be bummer.

thanks for your reply
[doublepost=1455911640][/doublepost]i was wondering if mac mall can ship any computer outside N.Y tax FREE, if there is another company that would sell iphones.
I do plan to buy Macbook pro too,

Yes the trade in for old iPhones is nice, especially if you don't want to go through the hassle of finding a buyer and meeting them in person or shipping it to them. I can understand why this is appealing.

According to MacMall.com (http://www.macmall.com/n/Payment-And-Pricing/macNavLinks-macNavLinks.160) "MacMall is unable to accept credit, debit, or check associated with a billing address outside of the United States."

So unless you have somebody willing to buy for you who has a US address and US credit card, you wouldn't be able to go this route.

Actually I managed to purchase my macbook pro and let it ship to Hotel where I was about to stay. I used European MasterCard, but mac mall wanted american phone number. I gave them skype +1 number. they called me to verify my identity and if shipping address is correct.

I will need to check again all the rules, they could have change it.

Ah, that's pretty cool. I'm not sure if they changed since. If you were able to purchase in the past using this method then you'll likely be fine. I wasn't aware that you've previously bought from them I just searched on their website for information.

ok just contacted their support. They will not process European Mastercard, anymore. But will process Paypal without a problem.
They will not ship to Hotel. WINK WINK leave the name of the hotel blank WINK WINK confirmed, they will ship it.

Iphones are restricted and they can not sell them ;(

Not that it really matters but Deleware would be considerably closer but still not very feasible IMO...

I got mine sealed from a reseller on eBay - got 5% off around Black Friday and no sales tax so about £475 / $720 for a 64 GB 6s. Was fully unlocked.
