Hello all!,

Story is, I have a Windows computer now which kinda is on it's last breath. Yesterday it almost died with all my music:( so I quickly backed it up and now really wan't to get a new computer.

I've been looking on Mac fora's for a very long time, I daily check every piece of news about Apple although I don't even own one. But very enthousiastic about it.

Anyway I wan't to buy a Macbook, but I don't know which one to choose!
I'm just 15 (almost 16) years old, so I don't have alot of funds. Minimum is the blackbook with 2 gigs of RAM, but 13.3 inch is a little to small for me, and I wan't to play a little game once in a while too! As the Macbook Pro sports a real graphics card while the Macbook does not. 17 Octobre is my birthday, and with all my family they could give me a laptop. And Leopard should be included by then.

So, should I go for the high end blackbook 13.3 inch 160GB (BTO 2GB) or go for the low end Macbook Pro 15.4 inch 120GB.

Price: 1589 euro's versus 1899. Advice?

If you are really low on funds, firstly, get the white version. It's much cheaper.

Otherwise, if you really really want the black one anyway, go for it. But for RAM, buy it yourself and install it. Even if you have to throw away the stock RAM, you would still save some money compared to Apple's BTO.

That said, I think you should get the MBP, or even a refurb one. Generally, the MBP is seen as better than the MB, and if you can, go for the MBP.

Because why? The Aluminium case? The other key's? Illuminated keyboard? Screen size? Please explain why you think so.

yes

and the graphics

if you want to play games AT ALL you're much better off paying a little more for a much better notebook

you get twice the ram, bigger harddrive, 128meg dedicated video ram, an actual real video processor (not the intergraded intel graphics pos) a slightly faster CPU a real DVI port its just a much better computer to used as a primary system

not to mentio the LED screen is beautiful
