I'm trying to get a disc out of the disc drive. When ever I try to eject it, the disc icon disappears from the desktop and you can hear the disc drive try to eject it, but it does not come out. I've tried several ways to remove that are posted on web. Tried restarting with left mouse button pressed, restart holding option then pressing eject on keyboard and a couple of terminal commands. But before I contact applecare, I just want to see if anyone has any other ideas to try.:(

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but I hope someone can help. One of the lunch ladies at my son's school was handing out Spiderman discs today at lunch. Looks like they were some free promotional thing they gave away with something and the lunch lady was able to get ahold of a bunch of them.

They are the mini sized discs that have flat portions on two sides. Seeing as we only have the iMac and MacBook now, I figured that I'd try it in the iMac as he wanted to play it after we finished his homework. I put it in, and not only did I not hear the slot load "load" the disc, but the Mac is not bringing up anything on the desktop as far as a disc is concerned. whenever I attempt to eject the disc, I get the eject icon on the screen, but nothing happens.

Anybody know of a way I can get this out? Help!

I got it out. Some finagling with a full size disc got it to eject finally. Pulled it out and the disc will be disappearing very shortly. Thanks anyway!
