I'm getting ridiculous adware popping all over my screen when I'm trying to read an article in Firefox, which I use. I tried Adware Block Plus but it is still occurring.

Make sure you have a popup blocker working in Firefox and then download Malwarebytes from here and use it to scan your Mac. Forget about Avast if you were thinking of using it.
