I dont know what happened. I installed Vista just fine under bootcamp but when I ran Fusion using the bootcamp partition, and restarted the MBP under bootcamp again my video drivers are gone and it doesnt run Aero.

Anyway to fix this?

fusion doesn't support aero

No i know that. But when i log back into windows with bootcamp, all my drivers dissappeared. Including my mouse drivers, video drivers, etc.

Just wondering how i get them back, and will this happen everytime i use fusion?

I was having the same issue with Aero... but drivers?

Are you sure the drivers are completely gone? You could try running the "Windows Experience Index Updater"... that's what I did to get Aero working again... I eventually just uninstalled VMware though... my engineering apps are too graphics intense to use if Vista can't recognize my graphics card.

Same problem

After installing VMWare Fusion on MacBook Core 2 Duo, I booted directly in Vista via BootCamp and my video drivers were gone. Cannot do more than 1024x728.

I've had exactly the same issue, at first I didn't realize what the problem was, so I reinstalled Windows.

Then everything was fine in bootcamp until I ran VMWare.

So now I am only running Vista in Bootcamp until it is resolved.

I believe I have had this happen recently as well, a reinstall of the bootcamp drivers on on the Windows partition gave me aero back.

It does, until you next run Fusion...

Setup two admin accounts in Windows, one with Aero on for logging in when you boot into Windows natively and one without Aero for logging in when you use Fusion. You won't lose anything, as far as I can tell, as long as you don't log into an account under Fusion that has Aero on.

You may also want to set-up some permissions in Windows, though, so both accounts have full control to everything to avoid some of the popups.
