Hi,

I'm planning an app, which deals with car sales.

I want to show some car accessories in the app. Users will be able to
select them and Safari opens with an affilate link.

Are there any legal/political pitfalls? I've spotted nothing
so far.

Do you have experience with affiliate links in apps?

Regards,

rubyruby

Cool, so your links open the Music Store app?

I think Apple will be fine with this, because it's their own affiliate program.
But maybe they will be annoyed, if somebody uses other affiliate programs, such as Google.

But on the other hand, things like AdMob are allowed, too. Hm..

I don't think there will be any problems with this. You are just pointing the user to open a link nothing bad...

Well, the way it works is sort of backwards, but it's the only way for the referral link to go through. The user clicks on the link to buy the song, it will open up Safari and hit the Link Share URL, which will then open up the iTunes app and take the user to the linked song/artist/album.
