Anyone here used this application?

What are your thoughts on ease, power, parallels with either Lightroom/Aperture or Photoshop. On paper (or web I should say) it looks promising but best to ask those who have tried it to get some real use input.

I've been looking at it today, but I can't find an import/library function. From what I see, it's only meant for editing single photos. ( oh why did Bibble ever sell itself to evil Corel...)

It's really more of a parallel to Photoshop than LR/Aperture and as oblowmow noted, really more suited to editing single images. That said, for working with photographs, I'm finding it to be top notch. Layers, blending, frequency separation, masking, all good. You can work nicely on lab, CMYK, RGB channels. Healing, cloning, dehaze, lens corrections (getting there), panos, and zillions of other features. The developers listen and respond, which is fantastic, and have a very active beta program. It's not photoshop, and won't likely ever be, thankfully, with all of the bloat. But for images, it's great. And cheap. Give it a go.

As already mentioned, it's really for deep editing rather than the lighter touch that LightRoom offers. I love it, it's very powerful, well supported and does not require a monthly subscription. What it is not though, is a photo library (although that is in development).

I find that LR is great for editing / organising pics, and then I use Affinity Photo to do the serious editing I need (you can choose 'edit with' from LR and go straight to AP). Once Affinity release something that acts like a photo library then I will probably drop Adobe products and their subscription model altogether.

I'd certainly recommend AP as a photo editor...it's top notch.

I really appreciate you folks sharing the info. I guess the two areas I'll have to keep a watch on now DAM services and (after reading elsewhere) the ability to fully exploit 3rd party plug-ins meant for PS. It seems some plug-ins work and some don't at this date. I'm finding myself very hopeful and looking forward to 2016 for this product.
