After I click "make it ra1n" using blackra1n the phone goes into recovery mode and iTunes says I need to restore the phone. Then I get the screen on the phone that says I need to connect the phone to iTunes and I have to put the phone into DFU mode to get rid of that screen. I followed the iClarified tutorial and the same thing happens everytime. What am I doing wrong?

Did you give it a few seconds on the "connect to itunes" screen? Sometimes it takes a while before it goes on to the next step and Geohot's picture pops up. I think I've also heard people say that if you get stuck there, unplugging then plugging in the iPhone again would sometimes work.
I've tried every combination to make it work and it just doesn't want to. So I just used PwnageTool instead and it worked.
