Hey people, I really hope you can help. :(

After formatting my MacBook Pro 2016, I am unable to connect to Wifi to download the OS.

I see a list of wifi connections, I click on the right one, and enter password but nothing happens afterwards.

I took it to the Apple Store and they said I need to change the Logic for $950 which kinda doesn't make sense. I've formatted my laptop before and was able to install OS perfectly fine.

Help suggests I use Ethernet, I did -- but nothing happened.

Any help would be superbly appreciated please.

WARNING:
Doing the following will erase everything that is on the hard drive.
But other than that, if you want to erase the drive and re-install the OS, do this:

1. Boot to INTERNET recovery:
Command-OPTION-R
at boot

2. You'll need your wifi password (unless you're connected to ethernet)

3. The internet utilities will take a while to load, be patient "as the globe spins".

5. When you get to the utilities, open disk utility.
IMPORTANT: go to the view menu and choose "show all devices". YOU MUST DO THIS... don't forget.

6. Look at the list "on the left". The topmost item should be the internal SSD.
Click on it to select it, then erase it.
For Mojave and later, choose "APFS with GUID partition format".

7. Does the drive erase properly?
If so, quit disk utility and open the OS installer.

8. Begin "clicking through". The Mac will reboot one or more times, and the screen will go dark for a minute or longer with no other indication of activity. Just be patient.

9. When done, you should see the initial startup screen (choose your language).
Start clicking through. You can either set up a new account, or use setup assistant to migrate data from your backup.

Hello, thank you so much. The issue is that I am unable to connect to the WiFi altogether.

I do see the network, I click on it, and enter the password -- however after 1 or 2 minutes I get "200F" Error. I googled it and it said that the computer is unable to connect to Apple servers.

I tried ethernet, and removed password from wifi, both did not work.

The only other option I found was to change the DHCP on my router to 8.8.8.8 but I could not find anywhere on the router a dedicated DHCP.

Thanks again.
