After seeing on the reviews I’m happy with my choice to order a 64mg 3G model. Yes the wait will be tough but I’m glad I went with the increased storage and ability to use the 3G network when needed.

How do you feel about your choice?

I felt good about my choice since last year...meaning, that's when I planned on buying it. I just had to wait for the release date.

Why would a review change my opinion about the need for 3G? The reviews didn't make the device any smaller.

Honestly, the reviews didn't change a single thing I thought about the iPad. It's about what I expected to hear.

The most intelligent comment I've read or heard came from Andy Ihnatko. He said, in general, that the device is great, but in six to eight months when developers really get going it will be even better. I think he is spot on -- this is what happened with the iPhone. The new apps available in June of 2008 were nice, but half a year later you really got to see what an app on the iPhone could do.

One other point: all the reviewers have been looking at the iPad with limited apps, no ability to really work the machine because of the absence of the new iTunes, etc. They basically had crippled machines. ("Crippled" might not be the right word, "limited" might be better.)

My guess: you will love your iPad on Saturday, but really love it six months from now. That's only a guess, but I have confidence in that guess.

Yes. And I am not bashing. I am glad I waited to buy one based on issues I thought I might have with functionality which seem to exist in the current model. Here's hoping in the next few months some of my (personal) stumbling blocks are alleviated via new apps, updates to the OS and/or OS 4.0

Yep. Already knew it rocked and the reviews prove it.

Glad I pre-ordered right when the option came up, because I can't wait.

Much like everything else, the iPad will come into it's own in a little time.

I got the 32g wi-fi for now and will buy another one at a later date.

yep this thing is going to be crazy. If tech people like it then normal people are going to love it. did anyone see how fast the ipad is i mean wow. and when it jailbroke

Not only am I happy, I'm thrilled that nothing emerged from the reviews to make me question even a little bit my decision to use the iPad as my primary computer.

The limitations, such as they are, are known to me. i can live with them. I also believe they will disappear in time - both via apps and OS updates.

I am picking up a 64/wifi on Saturday, and after these reviews just ordered a 64/3g. Wife will get the wifi when the 3g arrives. :)

HELL YEAH! I'm excited & can't wait to get my hands on mine this Sat. Shame I'll be driving home alone so I won't be able to play with it while someone else drives but I do plan to stop by a Starbucks & have a cup of joe while messing with it and surfing the web.

Am I the first no? lol

I'm regretting not preordering, gonna wait and see if they have enough stock to drive and go get one. Hopefully apple will put up a tracker of store's with stock like the iphone. Unfortunately I have to work saturday and sunday so I can't get one until monday...or if I'm lucky on my lunch break

At first I wanted the 3G version but then decided I just couldn't wait for it and that I would only need the 3G version for a few minutes a month -- not worth it.

Now after reading the reviews I am pining for the 3G again! Which is strange since no one has yet tested it!

I've got a 64G WiFi on reserve at the store and one pre-ordered to (hopefully) arrive on Saturday. A third one would be a tad excessive!

The reviews have exceeded my expectations about the device !!

Lack of 3g can be solved by tethering to your jb iphone, the lack of gps though will get annoying :(

If only it wasn't $130 more
