Ok....I had to re-JB my 3g and now for some reason some apps (cydia, settings, random others) wont show. I had categories installed before, but I restored back to factory before I JB'd....any ideas??

From what I have read previously on these forums (I haven't used Categories myself), you were supposed to move the programs from the categories folder back to original location before re-Jailbreaking, or else what happened to you happens. :)

Do a DFU restore on your iphone and re-download quickpwn or pwnage tool and rejailbreak.

Yup. That's why they put a warning on it when you installed it. ;)

there is a file on your phone that has saved settings for example it saves settings as to "hide" or "unhide" your apps the easiest way to fix this is to restore from a previous back up without catagories on it or set up as a new phone.

i had this exact problem any app that was in a catagories folder got screwed over settings being one of them.
