So I was brave enough to take the iMac apart myself and remove the stand.

Mind you, I have been repairing iPhones and laptops and playing with computers my entire life and have appropriate tools , plus have watched a large number of tutorials to prepare for all of this.

So the stand is officially off. The problem now is .... which mount adapter can I buy for this one?

The Vesa mount adapter available for this model online is made for the the iMac having the stand on , but my stand is off , I need some sort of an adapter that I can screw in directly where the original mount used to be to be able to mount the mac to the wall.

Anyone out there has ANY idea of an existing mount adapter or will I have to buy a replacement iMac stand and saw it in half and compromise a mount by myself?

The more I research the more it looks like that is exactly what I will have to do ....

In short, I am looking for something like this:

but with screw holes for the 5K model .... if anyone out there has any ideas .. please help ...

tnx
