After the IOS5 update ...

Hi all im now to the forum and I hope this problem below is common

I downloaded IOS5 at 6pm (UK time) as everybody else did, I got all the usual error messages. Eventually my Iphone 3GS is now working BUT all of my music has gone and I had ALOT of music. I have had to re sync 5 times now as it kept crashing. The final attempt seemed to be working at 10pm UK time so I went to bet - got up at 4am to find it had copied the music across but all the songs were greyed out. You cant play them etc - also the art work was missing SO I started a further re sync and now its putting the art work back on and the songs are accessible again. Due to the huge amount of songs I have I have now had to leave my phone running while im at work as it takes hours

Was everybody’s else music removed form the Iphone when doing the IOS5 update? Its so frustrating as i will be upgrading mid November to the 4S


Any advice will not go amiss

Yes, this happened to everyone. Glad you had a full iTunes backup.

I had no issues at all updating. All my apps/music/contacts/emails were as they were prior to updating

I have about 6500 songs on my phone so you can imagine how long it takes to sync everytime plus I have that highjer bit rate thing ticked to reduce the capacity

Everything else on my Iphone is ok - so its very odd

Hmmm off home for my lunch breack for half an hour

Will my phone have finally finished this bizare cover art sync or will it have all switched off

fingers crossed! But finding this incredibly frustrating. We still have an Ipad2 and another Iphone to update yet

Artwork Problem now

Well im back and my phone was done. I tried re syncing again to make sure and yet again it had to copy over another 250 artworks - why!!!! It doesnt make sence

Also its changed loads of my Itunes Artists titles etc - pain in the back side

Any ideas about the artwork anybody - some of the ones its just changed already did at 4am this morning
